Yuqi Wang is an artist currently based in Shanghai. Her work explores the condition of the individual under contemporary contexts, the impact of "visible" and "invisible" disciplines of society, power hierarchies, and the common sense on individual consciously and physically, as well as the relationships between people. Her practice spans photography, performance, and body installations. The narrative and emotion conveyed through body language is a central focus of Yuqi’s recent work and artistic exploration.
